Privacy Policy

The short version

Your recordings never leave your device. Every voice effect is processed locally on your iPhone or iPad. Nothing you record is uploaded, and we have no server that could receive it.

We collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, and we show ads. The statistics are always on and there is no in-app switch for them. You can decline ad tracking when iOS asks, and change that choice at any time.

What stays entirely on your device

These live in the app's own storage. Deleting the app deletes them. We cannot recover them for you, because we never had them.

Microphone

The app asks for microphone access to record your voice, and uses it only while you are recording or previewing yourself live. Audio from the microphone is written to your device and processed there.

Speech recognition (Dictate)

The Text screen has an optional Dictate button. When you use it, iOS converts your speech to text using Apple's speech recognition. Depending on your device and language, Apple may process that audio on its own servers — this is Apple's system service, not ours, and is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. We receive only the finished text, on your device. If you would rather nothing were sent, type instead of dictating.

What we do collect

DataWho receives itWhy
Crash reports and performance dataFirebase Crashlytics (Google)To find and fix crashes
Anonymous usage events — screens opened, features used, effect namesFirebase Analytics (Google)To see which features matter
Advertising identifier and ad interaction dataGoogle AdMobTo show ads

None of this is linked to your identity. We do not ask for an account, an email address, or a name, and there is nothing to sign in to. We never collect the contents of your recordings, your text, or your transcriptions.

Advertising

The app shows occasional full-screen ads, served by Google AdMob: when you open or return to the app, and after you save or export a recording. Subscribing to Voice Changer Pro removes them.

What you can control

Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports are part of how the app is maintained, and the app does not offer a switch to turn them off. They carry no name, account or contact detail, and never any audio.

Ad tracking is separate and is yours to decide: use iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking to grant or withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing it does not remove ads, but they stop being personalised. Where the law requires it, we also ask for ad consent inside the app before any personalised ad loads.

Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device.

Children

Voice Changer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your rights

Because we hold no account and no identifier tied to you, we generally cannot locate "your" data to export or delete it — there is nothing keyed to you. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. For data held by Google, use the links above or contact us and we will help as far as we are able.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it.
