It needs headphones. On the speaker, the microphone would pick up its own transformed output and howl, so the control stays disabled until headphones are connected. Wired headphones give the least delay.
Some delay is unavoidable — the audio has to be captured, transformed and played back. Bluetooth adds a great deal more than wired, so use a wired connection if the lag bothers you.
That is deliberate. Recording and live monitoring share the same audio engine and cannot both run, so the control is hidden for the length of a take.
It needs Speech Recognition permission, in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Speech Recognition. Dictation is also unavailable for some languages on some devices.
Saved recordings are in the Library tab. Tapping Cancel in the Studio discards the take deliberately — it is not saved anywhere and cannot be recovered.
No. Everything is stored on your device only, and we never receive a copy. Export anything you want to keep before deleting the app.
Not inside the app. Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports are part of how the app is maintained, and they carry no name, account or contact detail — and never any audio. Ad tracking is separate and is yours to control, under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is collected.
